The injuries sustained during their daring escape from the event left Maya, Leo, and Emma battered but undeterred. They found temporary refuge in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city. As they nursed their wounds, the gravity of their situation settled in.

“We can’t keep going like this,” Emma said, wincing as she wrapped a bandage around her arm. “We need help.”
“We need allies,” Leo agreed. “There are other students out there who went through the same thing. If we can unite them, we’ll have a fighting chance.”
Maya nodded, her mind racing. “We also need a more secure base of operations. This place isn’t safe.”
As they discussed their options, Maya received a message from an unknown number: “Meet me at the old library tonight. I have information that can help you.” She showed the message to Leo and Emma.
“It could be a trap,” Leo cautioned.
“But it could also be the break we need,” Maya replied. “We can’t ignore it.”
That night, they made their way to the old library, a decaying building long abandoned by the city. Inside, the shadows loomed large, and every creak of the floorboards set their nerves on edge.
A figure emerged from the darkness. It was a young woman, her face partially obscured by a hood. “You’re Maya, right?” she asked.
Maya nodded. “And you are?”
“Call me Raven,” she said, pulling down her hood to reveal piercing green eyes. “I’ve been following your story. I know about Project Bliss.”
“How do you know about it?” Emma asked, suspicion evident in her voice.
Raven sighed. “Because I was part of it too. But I managed to escape before they could do any permanent damage. I’ve been in hiding ever since, gathering information and waiting for the right moment to strike back.”
“Why contact us now?” Leo asked.
“Because you’re making waves,” Raven replied. “You’re doing what I always wanted to do but couldn’t on my own. I want to help.”
Maya studied Raven’s face, seeing a mix of determination and fear. “What information do you have?”
Raven handed over a flash drive. “This contains data on the organization’s operations, their funding, and their key members. It’s enough to expose them, but you’ll need to be careful. They have eyes everywhere.”
“Thank you,” Maya said, feeling a glimmer of hope. “With this, we might actually have a chance.”
As they left the library, Raven joined their group, and they began planning their next move. They found a more secure hideout in an old, abandoned factory and set up their base of operations there. With Raven’s help, they contacted other students who had been part of Project Bliss, rallying them to their cause.
