Days turned into weeks as the investigation into Bliss High’s dark past continued. The school board suspended several administrators, and the media coverage brought even more scrutiny. Maya and Leo remained vigilant, knowing that those responsible would try to silence them.

One evening, as Maya was studying in her dorm room, she received an anonymous text message: “Meet me at the old science lab tonight. There’s something you need to see.”
Maya’s heart raced. It could be a trap, but she couldn’t ignore it. She texted Leo and arranged to meet him at the lab. Together, they made their way through the dark corridors, their flashlights cutting through the shadows.
When they arrived, they found the lab door slightly ajar. Inside, a figure stood with their back to them, rummaging through a pile of documents. Maya recognized the person immediately – it was Dr. Harrison, the head of the science department and one of the key figures in Project Bliss.
“What are you doing here?” Maya demanded, stepping forward.
Dr. Harrison turned, a look of surprise and fear on his face. “You shouldn’t be here,” he said, his voice shaking. “You have no idea what you’re getting into.”
“We know exactly what you’ve been doing,” Leo said, stepping beside Maya. “And we’re going to make sure everyone else knows too.”
Dr. Harrison’s expression hardened. “You think you can stop this? Project Bliss is bigger than any of us. You can’t fight it.”
“We already have,” Maya replied. “The truth is out, and people are listening. You can’t hide anymore.”
Dr. Harrison took a step forward, his eyes filled with desperation. “You don’t understand. There are forces at play here that you can’t even imagine. If you keep pushing, they’ll come after you.”
Maya stood her ground. “Let them. We’re not afraid.”
Just then, the door burst open, and several security guards stormed in. They grabbed Maya and Leo, forcing them to the ground. Dr. Harrison watched, a mix of relief and regret on his face.
As they were dragged away, Maya looked up at him. “This isn’t over,” she said. “We’ll keep fighting, no matter what.”
